    Fury controversy

Tyson Fury's comments that left a sour taste in the mouth with boxing fams stemmed from his belief he lost the fight because people sided with Usyk because of the war.

Fury said: “I believe I won that fight. He won a few of those rounds but I won the majority.

“What can you do, one of them daft decisions in boxing.

“We’ve all put on a good fight, the best we can do.

    Tyson Fury on rematch

Tyson Fury will not risk brain damage for the sake of Oleksandr Usyk revenge.

You can see my face, it's pretty busted up and he's busted too. We punched f***k out of each other for 12 rounds.

I'm going to go home, drink some food, drink some beers, have some family time, walk the dog, go to the tip and me and Frank Warren will discuss the future.

If there's going to be another fight, I think they're talking about October, then we'll rock and roll.

I'm not boxing because I've got no money, I'm boxing because I love it. I'm 36 in a few months, I've been boxing since i was a child. Where does it all end?

You have 100 fights and you have brain damage and are in a wheelchair? For as long as I'm loving the game, I'll continue to do it, and when I don't, I'll pack it up.

    Make the rematch happen

If ever a fight demanded a rematch, then it was this instant classic.

Even the age-old clamour for an all-British duel between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will have to quieten down so that the dethroned Gypsy King can get it on again with Oleksandr Usyk, the new undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Usyk, the fighting pride of war-torn Ukraine, confirmed his status as an all-time great by unifying boxing’s gold-standard division having already done the same at cruiserweight.

All in the space of just 22 professional fights.

A rematch is pencilled in for October, back in Saudi Arabia, but Fury refused to commit to it in the immediate aftermath of his first professional defeat at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena in the early hours of Sunday morning.

But Fury-Usyk II is what the world is waiting for - because this fight was a thrilling, white-knuckle ride which fully lived up to its hype and its £120million purse.
