Getting 100% completion in Hollow Knight is a momentous achievement. This is a massive Dark Souls-like adventure with a ton of collectibles to find, bosses to beat, and abilities to unearth. It's also really, really hard in places.
That difficulty stems from both the wide variety of bosses you have to conquer, and how well hidden some of the secret areas are. There are also items you can only get if you're really paying attention, and perform specific actions at specific times.

@Fake-E-Lee that’s the best feeling in a game but the worst feeling is when it turns out the end just suddenly happens - I remember back when Red faction came out - I love it - it sucked me in and I thought I was only just starting and it ended. I now honestly have a phobia of binge playing games I love and rarely finish a game!!! The feeling of disappointment stayed with me what - 10 plus years later.

@Fake-E-Lee agreed buddy! Resist as much as you can haha! I remember looking on the internet for help with something in Dark Souls, and I regretted to do so! HK is my game of 2018 for now, i'm enjoying it more than GOW on PS4.

Dark Souls-like?? I'd just say Castlevania-like... People seem to forget that the Castlevanias were tough as hell as well. Soooo many deaths against those bosses...
Hollow Knight is pretty much like that.
With that said, I'm still enjoying a lot, but I'll keep this walkthrough close, as I'd like to fully complete it. Thanks!

@K1LLERBEAN that's what I think too. I'm not in a hurry to go through the game. Hours are accumulating and items are appearing. It's just more fun each day! Excellent game!!!!!

I think it really difficult to get enough money to buy upgrades because if you are unlucky and dead, you lose all of your money !

@the_beaver I agree with you. But personally, I feel like it's a perfect mix of Metroid/Castlevania SOTN/Dark Souls

I beat this game without help (30 hours!) and it showed 89% completion when the credits rolled. As much as I loved this game, and I REALLY loved this game, I do not think I will go back to 100% it. There is just too much to play and I hate to think of my last memory of grinding for collecting just to 100% it. 10/10 game and I am happy to move on to something else now.

@the_beaver Dropping your currency at the spot where you died is VERY Dark Souls-like. Other than that though it's much more metroidvania

I still need to complete all Hunter's Journal entries, and to defeat a couple of late game bosses and those two guys are giving me nightmares...

@Fake-E-Lee @Stocksy I keep thinking I'm getting close to the end only to discover entirely new areas. This game is enormous.
I found this game frustrating initially but now I'm really enjoying it.
I hope to not use this guide, as I always prefer playing games without consulting a guide. I have no idea what percentage I'm at but I've put in about 40 hours so far.

@gurtifus I found that stressful in the beginning too, but I was always able to get my geo back when I died, although there were a few close calls. Now that I'm much farther in the game it seems I have more geo than I know what to do with.

I'm only a couple of hours in. I'm still in the first area and found a couple of bosses that seemed impossible but I beat one unlocked some crazy Ryu hardukon thing and managed to kill the other. It was a great feeling after struggling at first.
